Transition 2020

Transition 2020

Dear Parents and Carers

First of all, I would like to say again how delighted we are that your child will be starting at The Bridge at Stoke Park and to say how much we are looking forward to welcoming your child to our school community.

Here at Stoke Park, we appreciate the challenges you must currently be facing on a daily basis and the questions and concerns you may have about your child starting secondary school, given the uncertainty around Covid-19 and school closures.

I just want to reassure you that the Bridge team is doing everything possible to make sure your child’s transition to Stoke Park is as smooth as possible and over the coming weeks we will be using this website as a means of providing you with regular updates, and to reassure and hopefully enthuse your child about starting secondary school!

At the moment, we are in contact with your child’s primary to make sure we can find out as much as possible about their interests, talents and needs so we can support them when they start at The Bridge. There is a strong chance that plans for Transition Evening on the 30th June and Transition Day on 1st July may have to change but rest assured we will communicate with you well in advance of this date.

As you may know, our year 7 students study Latin and the Classics so we have put together an exciting transition project on Roman culture and history and we hope your child will enjoy learning more about this fascinating period.

If you have any questions for us about any aspect of your child’s transition to Stoke Park then please contact us at: and a member of The Bridge team will contact you straight away.

In the meantime, please do stay safe and do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.

With very best wishes

Natalie Rock
