At Stoke Park we ensure that the curriculum is broad and balanced and prepares our students to be effective participants in the 21st century. As an inclusive school we aim to meet the needs of all pupils rather than a ‘one size fits all’ model. Without naming the different pathways in such a way that labels and pigeon holes students, we offer option courses and qualifications that meet the needs of pupils of different abilities. Our aim is to produce successful learners who enjoy learning, make progress and achieve, confident individuals who are able to live safe, healthy and fulfilling lives and responsible citizens who make a positive contribution to society.
Every year the curriculum offer is formally scrutinised by Governors and Senior Leaders and suggestions made for improvements or necessary amendments as a result of a changing cohort or government agenda, where we feel it is appropriate for our students.
We provide a clear, progressive pathway for all individuals aiming to make their transition smooth to the next stage of their education or employment. We believe our curriculum is flexible enough to account for the learners’ contexts and develop their evolving interests and needs.
