In February half term Ms Wood and Mrs Osman took 9 students from yr 7 – yr 11 to Natz-Schabs on the Austrian/Italian border for 5 days of skiing.
The journey was long, but uneventful, and on arrival we were delighted with the hotel accommodation, which was very modern, clean and the facilities were excellent. Pupils made good use of the games room and social areas. The food in the hotel was fresh and plentiful, and pupils ate well.
Ski lessons took place every day from 10-12pm and 1-3pm. The instructors were very friendly and made lessons fun. All pupils made excellent progress throughout the week and were awarded certificates at the end of the holiday.
Evening activities included a bowling night at a local sports centre in a neighbouring village, a torch-lit walk through Natz and an ice-cream evening in a little Italian restaurant. The ice-creams were enormous and delicious.
Students all agreed that it was a very successful trip, and some are asking about details for next year’s ski holiday already ! The trip will be advertised soon, on the VTE. Please see Mrs. Osman or Ms Wood to collect a letter and bring in your deposit as soon as possible to reserve your place.
We look forward to taking you on the 2018 ski adventure!
